The Forbes Billionaire List 2025 has been released, and it has broken all records. This year the number of billionaires in the world has been reported to reach a whopping 3,028 worldwide, which is the very first time the global billionaire count has crossed the 3,000 mark. If we take the collective wealth of other ultra-rich individuals, it would come to a combined net worth of USD 16.1 trillion. Here are the top individuals who made it to the Forbes billionaire list 2025.
Top 5 Billionaires in the World 2025
1. Elon Musk
Topping the list this year is Elon Musk, with an estimated net worth of USD 342 billion. Musk's fortune surged by USD 147 billion thanks to a blockbuster year for SpaceX and his AI firm xAI, which recently merged with social media giant X. Despite Tesla facing protests and stock market fluctuations, its valuation remains higher than last year, helping Musk reclaim the No. 1 position.
2. Mark Zuckerberg
Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is now the second-richest person in the world, surpassing Jeff Bezos for the first time. His fortune is valued at USD 216 billion and has been fuelled by Meta's aggressive push into artificial intelligence and the metaverse. Despite facing regulatory scrutiny, Meta's stock has soared, helping Zuckerberg solidify his position among the tech elite.

3. Jeff Bezos
Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos holds the third position with a net worth of USD 215 billion. Since Amazon is a global e-commerce leader, its cloud computing arm, AWS, continues to be profitable, generating more wealth for Bezos.
4. Larry Ellison
Oracle chairman Larry Ellison ranks fourth with a fortune of USD 192 billion. The 80-year-old businessman's wealth has surged due to Oracle's strong AI and cloud computing advancements and investments in healthcare and cybersecurity.
5. Bernard Arnault & Family
French billionaire Bernard Arnault, the mastermind behind LVMH, has slipped to fifth place with a net worth of $178 billion. He already has built his status as the world's richest person in luxury goods. However, brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Moët & Chandon continue to dominate the luxury market.
