Ford Motor Inks An Agreement With Avanci

Ford Motor Company has inked a patent license agreement with Avanci here on June 2 for connected vehicles. Soon after this agreement, Ford will be able to gain access to 4G, 3G, and 2G standard essential patents.

Leading American multinational automobile manufacturer Ford Motor Company has inked a patent license agreement with Avanci here on June 2 for connected vehicles. Soon after this agreement, Ford will be able to gain access to 4G, 3G, and 2G standard essential patents secured by 49 patent owners presently contributing in the Avanci Licensing Program and including any other patent owner who seeks to participate in the program at a future date, for the use of Ford's connected vehicles.

According to a report in auto.economictimes.Indiatimes.com, Avanci seeks to extend a warm welcome to Ford, said the founder Kasim Alfalahi, founder and CEO of Avanci. Kasim Alfalahi revealed that Ford is 5th US-based automaker to have joined the rising list of companies who have accepted the industry solution offered by Avanci's independent marketplace.

Avanci has brought a revolution the way owners of patented cellular technology and automakers share technology by providing a single joint license to the majority of cellular standard essential patents on set of transparent licensing terms that have been extensively accepted by licensors and licensees, added the report of auto.economictimes.Indiatimes.com.
