Former Chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry dies in road accident

Former chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry died in road accident near Mumbai on Sunday. The accident took place around 3.15 pm, when Mistry was travelling to Mumbai from Ahmedabad, said some media reports.The other two persons travelling with him, including the car driver, were injured. All the injured persons have been shifted to a hospital in Gujarat.

The shock ouster of Cyrus Mistry in 2016 triggered a very public, years-long courtroom and boardroom battle. Mistry, who was sixth chairman of Tata Sons, but was replaced from the position in October 2016. He had taken over as chairman from Ratan Tata.

The other two persons travelling with him, including the car driver, were injured. All the injured persons have been shifted to a hospital in Gujarat.
