Fuel Prices On March 9: Petrol & Diesel Prices Remain Unchanged Today

|

The Russian-Ukraine conflict is highly expected to continue to have a big impact as US President Joe Biden put a ban on Russian oil imports on March 8, forcing crude oil to hit a 14-year high of $140 per barrel on Monday. According to reports, state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum may raise market prices of petrol and diesel next week as a result of the unrest.

Fuel Prices On March 9: Petrol & Diesel Prices Remain Unchanged Today

As a result, petrol and diesel rates in major metro areas including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai would stay constant on March 9. The price of petrol in Chennai has remained steady today at Rs 101.40 per litre, while the price of diesel has remained unchanged at Rs 91.43 per litre. Petrol prices in Noida have dropped somewhat from Rs 95.73 per litre yesterday to Rs 95.36 today. Petrol prices in Lucknow have also fallen slightly, from Rs 95.28 per litre yesterday to Rs 95.14 today.

Diesel prices in Noida have dropped from Rs 87.21 a litre yesterday to Rs 86.87 today. While diesel prices in Lucknow have fallen slightly from Rs 86.80 yesterday to Rs 86.68 today, diesel prices in the rest of the cities have remained steady today.

Prices of other commodities such as gas, edible oils, and coal have also risen as a result of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis, and the spike in crude oil prices is likely to drive inflation and stifle economic growth.
