On September 5, petrol and diesel prices were reduced in all metros. Petrol prices in Delhi have dropped 19 paise to Rs 101.19 per litre, while diesel prices have dropped to Rs 88.62 per litre, down from Rs 88.77 the day before.
According to Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the country's largest gasoline marketer, the petrol price in Mumbai was Rs 107.26/litre, down 14 paise from the previous rate of Rs 107.39.

On September 5, Mumbai's diesel prices were raised to Rs 96.19.
In Kolkata, too, fuel rates were raised, with a litre of petrol costing Rs 101.62 and a litre of diesel costing Rs 91.71, respectively.
In Chennai, petrol is now available for Rs 98.96 per litre, while diesel is available for Rs 93.26 per litre.
After remaining unchanged for seven days, gasoline and diesel prices were last reduced on September 1. On the first day of the month, fuel prices fell by 10 to 15 paise, while diesel prices fell by 14 to 15 paise.
