Fuel prices were left unchanged for the second consecutive day after scaling to a record high. On July 12, the price of diesel was slashed while that of petrol were increased. After the prices have been held steady check the rates of petrol and diesel in metros.

The fuel rates are seeing upward revision since May 4 after the state assembly elections concluded in most of the cities.
Petrol is the costliest in Rajasthan as there is levied a higher VAT on both the fuels.
State run oil marketers revise the fuel rates every day at 6 am and this dynamic pricing model they have been observing since June 2017 wherein based on the average rates international in the previous fortnight rates are decided every day at 6 am.
In the international markets, WTI benchmark of crude is hovering near $75 per barrel level.
