State-run oil marketing companies including BPCL, HPCL and IOC began revising fuel rates on a daily basis on September 24 after international crude rates hit close to a 3-year high. Notably, now the crude prices internationally have hit 7-year high and fuel rates in the country have been kept unchanged after 7 consecutive days of hike.

International crude rates

In the previous day, oil continued to be at multi-year high levels as tight supply concerns continued to fuel bullish sentiment. Crude is set for its seventh weekly gain.Brent crude futures rose 23 cents, or 0.3%, to $84.84 a barrel at 0933 GMT, after Thursdays three-year high of $86.10.
