Fuel Rates On March 28, 2022: Rates Hiked For The Sixth Time In A Week
Ever since last week fuel prices are on a rise and today (March 28, 2022) rates have been increased again for the sixth time in a week. Subsequently, in Delhi petrol has become dearer by 30 paise and is retailing at Rs. 99.11 per litre, while diesel after becoming pricier by 35 paise is being sold at Rs. 90.42 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol today costs 31 paise more at Rs. 114.19 while diesel is priced 37 paise higher at Rs. 98.5.
In Chennai, the new rates for petrol and diesel are Rs. 105.18 and Rs. 95.33 per litre, respectively. Similarly, in Kolkata revised petrol and diesel rates are Rs. 108.85 and Rs. 93.92 per litre, respectively.

International crude oil rates
Brent crude last traded at 117.2 per bbl, while WTI benchmark trades at $110.4 per barrel. Analysts at McKinsey and Company last week said that in a worst case scenario amid the Ukraine-Russia war with escalating disruption and in a case wherein oil and gas exports from Russia to Europe are shut down, brent prices could climb to $150 per barrel.
