Fuel Rates Surge Again On October 8; Mumbai Petrol Rates Close To Rs. 110/L
Petrol and diesel prices have again been hiked on Friday (October 8, 2021). Petrol rates saw an increase by 30 paise while diesel prices have been increased by 35. As per IOC, petrol rates in Delhi after an hike are retailing at 103.54 per litre today, while diesel is being sold at Rs. 92.12 per litre.
In Mumbai, fuel rates are the highest amongst the 4 metro cities. Post the hike today, petrol price in the country's financial capital is at Rs. 109.54 per litre and diesel is priced at 99.92 per litre. Fuel rates vary across states owing to the variation in implication of local taxes.

State-run oil marketing companies including BPCL, HPCL and IOC began revising fuel rates on a daily basis on September 24 after international crude rates hit close to a 3-year high.
Notably in last 11 days, petrol rates have been increased by Rs. 2.35 per litre, while diesel rates have gone higher by Rs. 3.5 per litre

International crude rates
At 1:46 AM GMT, brent crude was up by 0.81 percent to $82.61 per bbl while WTI crude also gained by close to 1 percent to $79.06
