Brent Crude Oil was up 0.52 percent to $105.2 per barrel on Wednesday, while WTI Crude was up 0.45 percent to $101.00 per barrel. On the global market, oil prices jumped on Wednesday due to fears about a reduction in demand and supplies, as well as the continuation of coronavirus lockdowns in China. Kotak Securities said on Tuesday that "As per Reuters report, the European Union's (EU) executive is drafting proposals for an embargo of Russian oil, although there was still no agreement to ban Russian crude. Crude weakened also as US and other International Energy Agency members announced that they would release about 240 million barrels over next six months which comes to about 1.3 million barrels per day. While stock release may help improve supply situation, it is still a temporary solution and if Russia-Ukraine fighting continues for long, it may not be enough."
