Fuel Rates Today: Petrol & Diesel Rates Remain Steady On 8th April 2022

Following a brief break on Thursday, the price of petrol and diesel is again unchanged today, April 8, 2022. Petrol prices in New Delhi remained steady today at Rs 105.41 and diesel prices remained unchanged at Rs 96.67. In fact, today's petrol price in Kolkata will remain steady at Rs 115.12 per litre, while diesel will cost Rs 99.83 per litre. In Mumbai, the price of a litre of petrol will remain steady at Rs 120.51, while the price of a litre of diesel will be Rs 104.77. Today, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 110.85 in Chennai, while a litre of diesel will cost Rs 100.94.

In Bangalore, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 111.09 today, while a litre of diesel will cost Rs 94.79, while in Hyderabad, petrol will cost Rs 119.49 today and diesel will cost Rs 105.49. Petrol prices have surpassed Rs 100 per litre in major metro areas such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, owing to increased crude oil costs on the international market. Brent crude has risen to $101 per barrel today, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude has risen to $96.55. Crude oil volatility can be witnessed in the domestic market, with petrol and diesel prices rising by Rs 10 per litre in 14 rises in the previous 16 days.

Apart from the fact that petrol and diesel prices are constant today, CNG prices in the national capital are also steady at Rs 69.11 per kilogramme on Friday. It increased by Rs 2.50 per kilogramme yesterday, bringing the total rise since March to Rs 12.5 per kilogramme. CNG will now cost Rs 71.67 per kg in Noida, and Rs 76.34 per kg in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, and Shamli, according to Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL). CNG per kilogramme would cost Rs 77.44 in Gurugram today, while it will cost Rs 80.90 in Kanpur, Hamirpur, and Fatehpur. CNG costs Rs.79.38 per kilogramme in Ajmer, Pali, and Rajsamand today.
