Gas Cylinder E-KYC: Are LPG Agencies Open on Saturday, Sunday This Week? Eveything You Need To Know
The Oil marketing companies in India, Indane, Bharat Gas, HP Gas have set August 16th as the deadline for customers to complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification for their domestic LPG connections.

Indian Oil in a post has informed the customers stating, "Dear customer, you are required to do e-KYC for receiving LPG cylinder at domestic rates. Despite earlier reminders, you have not done your e-KYC so far. Failure to do e-KYC by August 16, would make you ineligible for cylinders at domestic rates till e-KYC is completed."
For Whom The Gas Cylinder E-KYC Applies
The requirement to complete the Gas Cylinder E-KYC applies to non-PMUY customers, to make sure that subsidised or the domestic-rate cylinders reach genuine beneficiaries and improve transparency.
The Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) beneficiaries also need to comply since they get targeted subsidies though the government's PMUY portal itself doesn't show the deadline.
What happens if you miss it?
If you miss to complete the Gas cylinder E-kyc, Your connection will not be cancelled outright but will be temporarily suspended or inactive until e-KYC is completed.
You may end up paying commercial rates for August 2026, domestic 14.2kg cylinders cost around Rs. 942 in Delhi, Rs. 968 in Kolkata, Rs. 941.50 in Mumbai and Rs. 957.50 in Chennai, versus commercial rates of Rs. 2,738 in Delhi, Rs. 2,691.50 in Mumbai, Rs. 2,872.50 in Kolkata and Rs. 2,906 in Chennai.

You can Complete Your E-KYC At home via the Indian Oil ONE App / Bharat Gas or HP Gas equivalent apps You can also visit your our distributor, or through the delivery person when a cylinder is delivered
For the In person visit carry a photocopy of Aadhaar card, gas passbook, registered mobile number; request biometric or facial e-KYC at the local agency office during working hours

Since August 15, which falls on Saturday, is a national holiday, gas agency offices, like most government-linked outlets, may have restricted hours or be closed. However Gas cylinder delivery and app-based e-KYC will continue
