Accordingly, Aramco increases propane price by $40 to $720 per tonne and butane is hiked by $50 to $780 metric ton.

In India, the LPG prices are heavily determined by using the Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) announced by Saudi Aramco every month. The Saudi CP is an important benchmark for LPG imports into Asian markets, including India.
The price of commercial LPG cylinders is market-determined and linked to international benchmarks. Accordingly, revisions in commercial LPG prices reflect movements in global LPG prices and associated costs, as per PIB explainer.
