It still is a sensation, a force to be reckoned with, as millions of users worldwide create their own Ghibli image. The mania was such that OpenAI's platform crashed, which pushed Sam Altman to ask users to 'chill'. It's not ChatGPT's Ghibli, crypto lovers are also obsessed with meme-coins that are Ghibli. However, the performance of Crypto Ghibli has been volatile.

On CoinMarketCap, a host of Ghibli cryptos are now available for trading. One of the most prominent cryptos is Ghiblification whose crypto symbol is Ghibli.
At the time of writing, Ghibli crypto traded at $0.009513, up by 32.9% in the last 24 hours. There is a whopping 33% surge in Ghibli's market cap to $9.51 million, while its volumes shot up by 23% to $23.97 million over the 24 hours. The circulating supply of Ghibli is 999.9 million.
In the past five days, Ghibli crypto touched an all-time high of $0.0415 which was touched on March 28, 2025. From this level, the new meme is down by 77%.
However, Ghibli hit an all-time low of $$0.006135 on March 31, and from this level, Ghibli skyrocketed by 55% currently.
What Is Ghibli?
OpenAI's Ghibli generation is inspired by Japanese-based animation company Studio Ghibli. Its roots are around four decades old.
The studio-style Ghibli was founded by animators and directors Miyazaki Hayao and Takahata Isao and producer Suzuki Toshio in 1985. As per Britannica, Studio Ghibli is known for the high quality of its filmmaking and its artistry. Its feature films won both critical and popular praise and influenced other animation studios. The headquarters are in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, on March 26, OpenAI launched ChatGPT's 4o image generation which allowed users to create their desired Ghibli images. As per OpenAI's statement, GPT‑4o image generation excels at accurately rendering text, precisely following prompts, and leveraging 4o's inherent knowledge base and chat context-including transforming uploaded images or using them as visual inspiration. These capabilities make it easier to create exactly the image you envision, helping you communicate more effectively through visuals and advancing image generation into a practical tool with precision and power, as per the official statement.
What Should Investors Do With Ghibli Crypto?
Abdul Rahmani, a crypto lover who offers insightful reviews and analysis in this market, and has username Hype Dyor, said, "The recent market instability has impacted many tokens, including Ethereum, Ghibli has been spared either, showing a decline as well. Still, I remain focused on $Ghibli because I believe there's more potential ahead, especially given the current phase of the crypto market."
On the other hand, last week, Binance cited MarsBit News' report said, "Of course, the related meme token $Ghibli has merely combined the artistic aesthetics of Studio Ghibli and the trend of AI-generated content in its narrative, which is why it quickly went viral on Twitter. However, the information about the team behind the token is currently unclear, and investors should be cautious about the associated risks."
The latest report of Analytics Insight revealed that Ghiblification (GHIBLI), established on Solana, obtained a $28.3 million market cap, which settled at around $18 million. GhibliCZ reached its maximum value of $14.6 million before experiencing a decline to $4.3 million. Both tokens drew their names from Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. The meme token trend has led at least 20 alternative tokens into existence, and one particular token experienced a 52.54% surge in under an hour to achieve an estimated $23 million worth.
