Go First Extends Flight Cancellations Until June 9, 2023, Due To Operational Reasons

Go First, a low-cost airline, extended its flight cancellation until June 9, 2023 due to "operational reasons." The airline had previously announced a suspension of flying operations until June 7, which has now been extended by two days.

"We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till 09th June 2023 have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations. A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly. We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can. As you are aware, the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and revival of operations. We will be able to resume bookings shortly. We thank you for your patience," airline stated in an official statement.

In a press release, the airline stated that a full refund will be made to passengers' original means of payment as soon as possible.

The airline, which was founded as GoAir, has already stopped issuing tickets and has temporarily ceased operations as of May 3.

The cash-strapped domestic airline is currently undergoing the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) and has submitted a six-month revival plan to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
