Go First Flight Ticket Cancelled? Here Is how To Get A Refund

Indian airline Go First Airways requested the National Company Law Tribunal to initiate voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings. Go First Airways alerted the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday that all of the airline's flights will remain cancelled on May 3, May 4, and May 5.

The airline said on its official website, "We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled for 3rd, 4th and 5th May 2023 have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations."

The airline announced that passengers who had made reservations for the aforementioned dates would be entitled to a full refund.

"A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly. We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can," the airline announced on its website.

The airline has also prepared a thorough FAQ that explains how passengers can request refunds for cancelled flights. The FAQ page, however, kept returning 404 errors.

How will I get a Refund for Go First cancelled flights?

In the event that a flight is cancelled due to unforeseen operational problems. Refunds will be sent to the appropriate payment methods.

Can Go First tickets be transferred or rescheduled to other airlines or some other dates?

According to the airline, tickets cannot be changed or transferred to any other carriers. "Dear Go First Flyer, we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to you due to the event of flight cancellation, on account of unavoidable operational issues. We regret that we cannot reschedule/transfer your ticket to any other airline," Go First said.
