Gold Price India: 24K/10 Grams Yellow Metal Falls By Rs 1090, 24K/100 Grams Dips By Rs 10,900

Gold prices India witnessed sharp drop on May 1, 2024 as US yellow metal prices hovered near the 4-week low. Meanwhile, investors have shifted their focus to the outcome of the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on May 1, 2024 for better cues on its rate cut timeline. 22 carat yellow metal price in India today stood at Rs 65,550/10 grams after the decline by Rs 1000 and 100 grams of 22k gold retailing at Rs 6,55,500 in the country after prices slipped by Rs 10,000. On the other hand, 24K yellow metal price in India today quoted at Rs 71,510/10 grams after fall by Rs 1090 and 100 grams of 24 carat gold prices stood at Rs 7,15,100 after the dip by Rs 10,900.

Meanwhile, price of 10 grams of 18 carat gold in India today quoted at Rs 53,630 and 100 grams of 18K yellow metal will cost Rs 5,36,300 in India today, after the fall by Rs 8,200.

Silver prices India witnessed decline too on May 1, 2024. If you are thinking of purchasing 1kg silver today, you need to pay Rs 83,000 after the dip by Rs 500 and for 100 grams of silver, you will have to shell out Rs 8,300 on Wednesday, May 1 after the fall by Rs 50.

Spot gold remained little changed at $2,288.21 per ounce as of 0023 GMT. Prices declined nearly 2% to their lowest level since April 5 on Tuesday, due to an uptick in the dollar and US Treasury yields, according to Reuters. US gold futures were down 0.2% at $2,298.70 per ounce.

The Reuters report stated, Reserve Bank of India's gold reserves jumped nearly by 19 tons during March quarter, surpassing last year's net purchases of 16 tons, the WGC said.
