Gold price today in India slipped sharply on April 6, bringing some relief to buyers. In the retail market, the 24K gold price today fell by around Rs. 1,800 per 10 grams, while the 22K gold rate dropped by nearly Rs. 1,650 per 10 grams, cooling off after the recent surge.

As of Monday, the 24K gold rate today in India is around Rs. 1,49,130 per 10 grams, while the 22K gold price today stands near Rs. 1,36,700 per 10 grams. However, these are indicative prices and may vary slightly across jewellers. Here are the gold prices in the major Indian Jewellery outlets like Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers, and Joyalukkas.

Tanishq Gold Rate Today on April 6

Gold prices in Tanishq stores remained largely stable despite the broader market dip. The 22K gold rate today is Rs.13,875 per gram, with 10 grams priced at Rs.1,38,750 and 100 grams at Rs.13,87,500.

The 24K gold rate stands at around Rs. 15,136 per gram or Rs. 1,51,360 per 10 grams, while the 18K gold price is approximately Rs. 11,352 per gram. Overall, Tanishq gold rates today show minimal fluctuation.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds Rate Today

At Malabar Gold & Diamonds, gold prices are following the broader market dip:

As per the 6th April update, the 22K gold rate today at Malabar is available for Rs. 13,670 per gram. While the 18K gold rate today is Rs. 11,185 per gram. While one of the cheaper variants, the 14K gold rate today is at Rs. 8,699 per gram.

Kalyan Jewellers Gold Rate Today

At Kalyan Jewellers, the 22K gold rate today is around Rs. 13,670 per gram, matching the overall downtrend in the gold price today in India.

Joyalukkas Gold Rate Today

Gold prices today at Joyalukkas are currently in line with the overall market trend across purity levels. The 24K gold is priced at Rs. 14,913 per gram, 22K gold rate today is at Rs. 13,670 per gram, and 18K gold is available at Rs. 11,185 per gram.

IBJA Gold Price Today

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association, benchmark gold prices (excluding GST and making charges) are:

Why Gold Prices Fell Today?

The fall in gold price today in India comes after a recent rally, as markets see profit booking and slight easing in global cues.
IBJA in its report dated 6th April stated, "Gold and silver prices are trading slightly lower today on the international bourses. We expect precious metals prices on Indian bourses to trade range-bound to slightly lower for the day; as gold and silver prices extended a decline as the escalating war in the Middle East heightened energy-supply and inflation risks, while a surprise drop in US jobless claims also reduced prospects for an interest-rate cut."
