Domestic gold prices saw a sharp pullback on April 2 after a strong multi-day rally, with the precious metal witnessing profit booking in early trade. In New Delhi, 24K gold slipped to Rs 15,157 per gram, down Rs 153, while 22K gold fell to Rs 13,895 per gram, declining by Rs 140. The drop comes after gold surged by nearly Rs 33,900 per 100 grams over the past three sessions.

Drop in Gold, Silver Prices Today After Rally; Rupee Jumps

Silver prices also corrected after a sustained rally, with rates in Delhi falling by Rs 5,000 per kilogram to Rs 2,50,000 per kg, or Rs 250 per gram. The decline in bullion prices coincided with a recovery in the Indian Rupee, which strengthened by as much as 1.6% to 93.19 against the US dollar in early trade.

Global cues further influenced market sentiment after US President Donald Trump stated that the ongoing conflict with Iran could conclude within two to three weeks. He emphasised that the US is close to achieving its military objectives, which has raised hopes of easing geopolitical tensions and reduced safe-haven demand for gold.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

For 24K gold, the rate for 1 gram stands at Rs 15,157 on 2 April 2026, down by Rs 153 from yesterday's Rs 15,310. The price for 8 grams has fallen to Rs 1,21,256, marking a drop of Rs 1,224 from Rs 1,22,480.

Similarly, 10 grams of 24K gold on Thursday is now priced at Rs 1,51,570, down Rs 1,530 compared to the previous Rs 1,53,100. On a larger scale, 100 grams of 24K gold costs Rs 15,15,700, reflecting a decline of Rs 15,300 from Rs 15,31,000.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

In the 22K segment on Thursday, the rate for 1 gram stands at Rs 13,895, down Rs 140 from Rs 14,035. For 8 grams, the price has slipped to Rs 1,11,160, marking a decrease of Rs 1,120 from Rs 1,12,280. The 10-gram rate is now Rs 1,38,950, down Rs 1,400 from Rs 1,40,350, while 100 grams of 22K gold is priced at Rs 13,89,500, falling by Rs 14,000 compared to Rs 14,03,500.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

On Thursday, 18K gold price for 1 gram stands at Rs 11,372, down Rs 114 from Rs 11,486. For 8 grams, the rate has dropped to Rs 90,976, showing a fall of Rs 912 from Rs 91,888. The 10-gram price is now Rs 1,13,720, down Rs 1,140 from Rs 1,14,860, while 100 grams of 18K gold costs Rs 11,37,200, reflecting a decrease of Rs 11,400 from Rs 11,48,600.

Silver Rate Today: Check Latest Silver Prices Per Kg and Gm on April 2, 2026

The price of silver for 1 gram stands at Rs 250, down by Rs 5 from the previous rate of Rs 255. For 8 grams, the rate has fallen to Rs 2,000, marking a decrease of Rs 40 compared to Rs 2,040 yesterday.

For 10 grams, silver is now priced at Rs 2,500, down Rs 50 from the earlier Rs 2,550. Meanwhile, 100 grams of silver costs Rs 25,000, reflecting a drop of Rs 500 from the previous Rs 25,500.

On a larger scale, 1 kilogram of silver is currently priced at Rs 2,50,000, registering a sharp decline of Rs 5,000 from yesterday's rate of Rs 2,55,000.

"When the Rupee weakens against the US Dollar, gold becomes more expensive in India even if global prices do not rise. If interest rates stay high, gold may not rise much globally. But in India, even a weak Rupee can keep prices elevated," said Darshan Rathod, COO, Multyfi.
