Gold Prices India: 24K/100 Grams Yellow Metal Falls By Rs 3800, 24K/10 Grams Down By Rs 380

Gold prices witnessed fall in India today amid declining tensions in the Middle East as investors are keenly waiting for the US economic data on Thursday and PCE inflation data on Friday. The data will offer significant cues into the Federal Reserve's interest rate path. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22k gold price today in India is Rs 66,250 after the decline of Rs 350 and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal price today is Rs 6,62,500 in the country today. On the other hand, 10 grams of 24 carat yellow metal price on April 25 is Rs 72,270 after the fall by Rs 380 and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal price on Thursday is Rs 7,22,700 after the dip by Rs 3800.

If you are planning to buy 10 grams of 18 carat gold today, you need to pay Rs 54,200 after the dip by Rs 290 while 100 grams of 18k gold price is retailing for Rs 5,42,000 after the fall by Rs 2,900 in the country on April 25.

Silver prices India recorded a dip of Rs 400 for 1kg to Rs 82,500 while cost of 100 grams silver is Rs 8,250.

Spot gold was flat at $2,322.09 per ounce by 1:45 p.m. ET (1745 GMT), after having hit its lowest since April 5 in the previous session. U.S. gold futures settled 0.2% lower at $2,338.4.

Yellow metal prices today slipped by Rs 350, soared by Rs 450 on April 24, dived sharply by Rs 1400 on April 23, slipped again by Rs 500 on April 22, stayed stable on April 21, fell marginally by Rs 100 on April 20, jumped by Rs 500 on April 19, declined by Rs 300 on April 18, remained stable on April 17, gained again sharply by Rs 900 on April 16, and surged by Rs 550 on April 15 in India.

According to Reuters, "the gold and silver market is seeing correction with a de-escalation in the Middle East conflict. The key question is if these corrections will turn into near-term price downtrend that would signal market tops are in place," said Jim Wyckoff, senior analyst at Kitco Metals.

"Market focus is back on economic reports and the Fed. If we see hot inflation data, then it is going to be harder for Fed to cut rates and gold could drop to below $2,200," added the Reuters report.
