At the beginning of the fresh week gold rates in India are maintaining stability after the decline seen last week. While the drop in gold prices was not very high, it offers some relief to buyers who have been waiting to make purchases.

With the festive season in India approaching its peak in the coming weeks, it is expected that gold prices will likely rise again. Historically, October & November have been strong months for gold demand, as festivals and weddings boost consumer buying. Jewellers expect a surge in demand as families prepare for occasions like Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and the wedding season, which traditionally boost gold and jewellery sales.

Gold in the international market has cooled off slightly and is now near the $4130 per ounce mark, as the market is now awaiting the Federal Reserve decision on the rate cuts in the upcoming meeting this month.

As of October 5th, Monday, 24-carat gold rates in India are currently at Rs. 1,49,180 per 10 grams. The 22-carat gold price in India today is Rs. 1,36,750. Similarly, the smaller 18-carat gold now retails at Rs. 1,11,890 per 10 grams.
And just like that, 100 grams of 24-carat gold are now priced at Rs.14,91,800, and the 22-carat gold rates per 100 grams now cost Rs. 13,67,500.

Silver prices in India today

Silver rates in India today have been stable for the last three days so 1 kg of white metal costs Rs. 2,35,000. While 100 g of silver retails in India for Rs 23,500.

MCX Gold and Silver Prices

This morning, gold futures prices on the MCX, which will mature on December 4th, are trading at Rs. 1,49,335 per 10 grams, down 0.68%. Similarly, silver futures prices maturing on December 4th gained 0.17% to Rs. 2,26,250 per Kg at the time of writing

Spot Gold Price and Spot Silver Rate

According to the latest report from Reuters, "Spot gold fell 0.3% at $4,131.61 per ounce by 0422 GMT. US gold futures for December delivery lost 0.1% to $4,159.30."
