Gold Rate in India Today Extends Weekly Rally, Surges Over Rs 50,000/24K; Check Latest 22K, 24K & 18K Prices
Gold prices in India continued their upward march on Saturday, August 8, 2026, with domestic rates climbing further as the precious metal extended its strong weekly rally. The price of 24 Karat gold rose by Rs 109 per gram to Rs 15,235, while 22 Karat gold gained Rs 100 to Rs 13,965 per gram. With the latest increase, gold prices have surged by more than Rs 50,000 this week, underscoring the strength of the ongoing rally.
In the international market, gold broke above $4,200, supported by easing Middle East tensions and softer inflation expectations, while traders are now pricing in a 55% probability of a September Federal Reserve rate move, down from 63% earlier. US President Donald Trump has also indicated that the Iran conflict could end soon, although he pointed to shortages in weapons supplies.

Meanwhile, $4,000 remains a key support level, with dip-buyers positioning for a potential move towards $4,600, regardless of the latest US non-farm payrolls data.

24 Karat Gold: The price of 24 Karat gold in India stood at Rs 15,235 per gram today, up by Rs 109 from the previous session. For larger quantities, 8 grams of 24K gold cost Rs 1,21,880, 10 grams cost Rs 1,52,350, while 100 grams was priced at Rs 15,23,500. The corresponding gains were Rs 872, Rs 1,090 and Rs 10,900, respectively.
22 Karat Gold: The rate of 22 Karat gold rose by Rs 100 per gram to Rs 13,965 today. An 8-gram quantity was priced at Rs 1,11,720, while 10 grams cost Rs 1,39,650. For 100 grams, the price stood at Rs 13,96,500, with the respective increases at Rs 800, Rs 1,000 and Rs 10,000.
18 Karat Gold: The price of 18 Karat gold increased by Rs 82 per gram to Rs 11,426. The rate for 8 grams stood at Rs 91,408, while 10 grams was priced at Rs 1,14,260. For 100 grams, 18K gold cost Rs 11,42,600, marking gains of Rs 656, Rs 820 and Rs 8,200, respectively.
Silver Rate Today, 8 August 2026: Check Latest Silver Prices Per Kg and Gram
Silver prices in India remained unchanged on Saturday, August 8, 2026. One gram of silver was priced at Rs 245, the same as the previous day. Accordingly, 8 grams cost Rs 1,960, 10 grams Rs 2,450, 100 grams Rs 24,500, while 1 kg of silver was priced at Rs 2,45,000. There was no change in silver rates across any of these quantities compared with yesterday.
