Despite a bearish trend, gold prices are expected to surge given the demand, which is usually high during the upcoming festivals like Dhanteras and Diwali, and will inject fresh momentum into the market as buyers rush to shops to make their jewellery purchases.
While domestic factors are influencing gold prices in India, global factors are equally important. Internationally, spot gold slipped below $4,000 per ounce for the first time since July this year as investors are cautious ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision later this week.
According to Trading Economics, "The Middle East conflict has driven energy prices sharply higher this year, fueling inflation concerns and strengthening expectations of higher interest rates, which tend to pressure non-yielding assets such as gold. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged this week, before potentially raising them in December."

Gold Prices Target and Outlook This Week
"Gold has historically delivered returns in spurts, with extraordinary rallies followed by periods of consolidation. The current correction should be viewed in this context rather than as a reversal of its long-term investment case." said Ankit Patel, Co-founder & Partner, Arunassets Investment Services Pvt Ltd.
"Gold could consolidate around prevailing levels before beginning its next meaningful upward cycle. While further corrections are possible, sustained central bank demand should provide structural support and reduce the likelihood of a prolonged price collapse. For long-term investors, the present correction offers an attractive opportunity to accumulate gold gradually, with a two-to-three-year investment horizon." he added.
