Gold rates in India climbed sharply on Saturday, extending their surge for the third consecutive day. 24-carat gold price have skyrocketed by Rs 81,200 in 100 grams and soared by Rs 8,120 in 10 grams from August 20th to August 22nd. The 999 purity gold is now above Rs 1.63 lakh mark. This week, precious metals witnessed an uptrend due to a decline in dollar and treasury yields, weaker retail activity, and an increase in demand for safe haven assets. At top jewelers, 22-carat gold is nearing Rs 15,000 per gram, while 24-carat gold is above Rs 16,300 and 18-carat gold is nearing Rs 12,300 per 1 gram respectively.

"Gold and silver both benefited from the softer dollar and shifting rate expectations, with gold extending its recovery to gain roughly 5% for the week despite bouts of volatility. Silver emerged as the stronger performer, climbing to its highest level in two months, supported by robust industrial demand and renewed interest in the so-called debasement trade," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.

Tanishq Gold Rates Today

22 carat gold price soared by Rs 140 in 1 gram, higher by Rs 1,120 in 8 grams, surged by Rs 1,400 in 10 grams and climbed by a whopping Rs 14,000 in 100 grams. In percentage terms, the surge is by 1%.

Accordingly, 22-carat gold is available at Rs 14,995 per 1 gram, at Rs 119,960 per 8 grams, at Rs 149,950 per 10 grams and at Rs 1,499,500 per 100 grams. Meanwhile, 18 carat gold rate stood at Rs 12,269 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,22,690 per 10 grams.

Furthermore, 24 carat gold price stood at Rs 16,358 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,63,580 per 10 grams.

IBJA Gold Rates Today

At IBJA, the latest 999 purity gold price stood at Rs 16,062 per 1 gram, while the 995 purity and 916 purity gold rate is at Rs 15,998 per 1 gram and at Rs 14,713 per 1 gram respectively. Furthermore, the 750 purity gold is priced at Rs 12,047 and the 585 purity gold is at Rs 9,396.

Malabar Gold Rates Today

At Malabar, the 1 grams gold is priced at Rs 14,950 in 22 carat and at Rs 16,309 in 24 carat. While the 10 grams gold prices stood at Rs 1,49,500 in 22 carat and at Rs 1,63,090 in 24 carat.

Joyalukkas Gold Rates Today

Meanwhile, at retail stores of Joyalukkas, 1 gram gold is priced at Rs 14,950 and 10 grams at Rs 1,49,500 in 22 carat. These rates are applicable in states like Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Further, at Kalyan as well, 10 grams and 1 gram gold are available at Rs 1,49,500 and Rs 14,950 in 22 carat.
