Gold Rate Today in India Continues Rally; 24K Jumps Over Rs 55,000 in Just 2 Days; Silver Hits Rs 2.60 Lakh/Kg

Gold's rally in India is showing no signs of slowing, with prices extending their sharp gains for the second straight session on Friday. 24 Karat gold rose Rs 121 per gram to Rs 16,048, while 22 Karat gold climbed Rs 110 to Rs 14,710 per gram. The 18 Karat gold rate also advanced by Rs 90 to Rs 12,036 per gram.

The latest jump has pushed the precious metal to a fresh higher level, with 24 Karat gold gaining Rs 55,100 per 100 grams in just two days. The rapid rise is keeping bullion investors and buyers on alert, particularly as gold prices continue to respond to developments in global currency and bond markets.

The momentum is not limited to gold. Silver prices are also moving higher, adding to the strength across the precious metals segment. "The metal continued to hold above $4,500 after the U.S. Treasury's decision to double long-dated bond buyback operations triggered a sharp rally in Treasuries and a decline in yields earlier this week," said Manav Modi Commodities Analyst Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The price of 24 Karat gold climbed Rs 121 per gram to Rs 16,048 on Friday. For larger quantities, 8 grams now cost Rs 1,28,384, marking a gain of Rs 968. The price of 10 grams rose Rs 1,210 to Rs 1,60,480, while 100 grams of 24 Karat gold is now priced at Rs 16,04,800, up Rs 12,100.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

22K gold also maintained its upward momentum, gaining Rs 110 per gram to Rs 14,710. The rate for 8 grams increased by Rs 880 to Rs 1,17,680, while 10 grams rose Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,47,100. For those buying in larger quantities, 100 grams of 22 Karat gold is priced at Rs 14,71,000, reflecting a daily increase of Rs 11,000.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The rise extended to 18 Karat gold, which advanced Rs 90 per gram to Rs 12,036. The price of 8 grams stood at Rs 96,288, up Rs 720, while 10 grams increased Rs 900 to Rs 1,20,360. Meanwhile, 100 grams of 18K gold reached Rs 12,03,600, registering a gain of Rs 9,000.

Silver prices also joined the upward move on Friday, gaining Rs 5 per gram to Rs 260, compared with Rs 255 in the previous session. The latest rise has pushed silver higher across all quantities, with the precious metal recording a total jump of Rs 15,000 per kilogram in just two days, adding further momentum to the ongoing rally.

For 8 grams, silver is now priced at Rs 2,080, up Rs 40 from Rs 2,040, while 10 grams costs Rs 2,600, reflecting a gain of Rs 50. The price of 100 grams increased by Rs 500 to Rs 26,000.

For larger purchases, 1 kilogram of silver now costs Rs 2,60,000, marking a daily increase of Rs 5,000 from Rs 2,55,000.

"Gold and silver jumped over 3% to a two-and-a-half-month high after the US Treasury's surprise liquidity support announcement pulled down bond yields and the dollar ahead of the Fed's July minutes. The Treasury will at least double its buyback operations for 10-to-30-year securities, while Secretary Bessent pushed for a higher FIMA facility threshold to ease dollar access for Japan," said Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd.
