The yellow metal found support from continued uncertainty over the situation in West Asia. Investors turned to gold after US President Donald Trump said talks with Iran were underway and called it Tehran's "last chance" to reach an agreement. However, Iran denied that any negotiations were taking place or were planned, keeping geopolitical tensions alive and supporting demand for safe-haven assets like gold.
