Gold rates in India recovered marginally on Friday, September 25, after suffering a sharp sell-off in the previous session. 24 Karat (24K) gold rose Rs 16 per gram to Rs 15,284, while 22 Karat (22K) gold gained Rs 15 to Rs 14,010 per gram. 18 Karat (18K) gold also moved higher by Rs 12 to Rs 11,463 per gram.
Gold Price Today Gains After Biggest One-Day Fall; Strong Dollar Keeps Bullion Under Pressure
The modest rebound comes after gold prices plunged Rs 152 per gram on Thursday, translating into a massive Rs 15,200 fall for 100 grams of 24 Karat gold in a single day. Despite Friday's recovery, bullion remained on track for a weekly decline as a stronger US dollar and growing expectations that the US Federal Reserve could keep interest rates elevated for longer weighed on investor sentiment towards non-yielding assets.

Silver prices, meanwhile, remained unchanged at Rs 245 per gram or Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram. The precious metal market continues to remain sensitive to movements in the dollar, US interest-rate expectations and broader global financial conditions.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
24 Karat gold is priced at Rs 15,284 per gram today, up Rs 16 from the previous rate. For larger quantities, 8 grams of 24K gold costs Rs 1,22,272, reflecting a Rs 128 increase. The price of 10 grams stands at Rs 1,52,840, up Rs 160, while 100 grams is priced at Rs 15,28,400, marking a Rs 1,600 rise.
22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
22 Karat gold has also moved higher, rising Rs 15 per gram to Rs 14,010. The price of 8 grams stands at Rs 1,12,080, up Rs 120, while 10 grams is priced at Rs 1,40,100, reflecting a Rs 150 increase. For 100 grams of 22K, the rate has climbed Rs 1,500 to Rs 14,01,000.
18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
18 Karat gold is available at Rs 11,463 per gram, up Rs 12 from the previous rate. For 8 grams, the price has increased by Rs 96 to Rs 91,704. The rate for 10 grams stands at Rs 1,14,630, up Rs 120, while 100 grams is priced at Rs 11,46,300, marking a Rs 1,200 daily increase.

Silver prices in India remained steady today, with the precious metal holding firm at Rs 245 per gram. The rate for 8 grams stands at Rs 1,960, while 10 grams of silver is priced at Rs 2,450. For larger quantities, 100 grams costs Rs 24,500, while 1 kilogram is available at Rs 2,45,000. All these rates are unchanged from the previous day.
"Gold prices have increased sharply so making traditional & physicall jewellery less affordable. Consumers are responding by buying lighter jewellery and shifting part of their investment to coins, ETFs and digital gold, which require lower ticket sizes," said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.
