Gold rates in India remained largely steady on September 27, 2026, after witnessing ups and downs in recent sessions. So far in September, gold rates have declined by nearly 1% across Karat categories, keeping the precious metal under pressure despite attempts to stabilise at lower levels.
On the MCX, gold prices are attempting to find stability after a sharp pullback, with the Rs 1,50,000 level remaining in focus for intraday traders. The October gold futures contract is hovering near Rs 1,50,800, with early signs of support emerging as recent selling pressure has eased at lower levels.

In the retail market, 24 Karat gold is priced at Rs 15,268 per gram, while 22 Karat gold is available at Rs 13,995 per gram. The price of 18 Karat gold stands at Rs 11,451 per gram. Meanwhile, silver prices in India today are at Rs 245 per gram, or Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
The price of 24 Karat gold in India stands at Rs 15,268 per gram today. For buyers looking to purchase 8 grams, the rate works out to Rs 1,22,144, while 10 grams of the precious metal costs Rs 1,52,680. Those buying in larger quantities will have to pay Rs 15,26,800 for 100 grams of 24 Karat gold.
22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
22 Karat gold is currently priced at Rs 13,995 per gram in the Indian market. An 8-gram purchase comes to Rs 1,11,960, whereas the cost rises to Rs 1,39,950 for 10 grams. For 100 grams, buyers will have to shell out Rs 13,99,500.
18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
Meanwhile, 18 Karat gold is available at Rs 11,451 per gram. The price for 8 grams stands at Rs 91,608, and 10 grams would cost Rs 1,14,510 at the prevailing rate. For a 100-gram quantity, the price comes to Rs 11,45,100

Silver is priced at Rs 245 per gram in India today, unchanged from Rs 245 per gram yesterday. The price of 8 grams stands at Rs 1,960, while 10 grams is priced at Rs 2,450, both unchanged from the previous day. For 100 grams, silver is priced at Rs 24,500, while 1 kilogram is priced at Rs 2,45,000, with both rates remaining steady compared with yesterday.
"Technically, gold holds support at $4,250-$4,450 (Rs 150,000-154,000), with buying favored above $4,300; silver supports at $62.5-$67.5 (Rs 230,000-242,000), with buying favored above $64, both targeting the respective upper ranges," said Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA.
