Gold rate in India extended their upward momentum at the start of the new week, with 24 Karat (24K) gold rising to Rs 16,397 per 10 grams, up Rs 88, while 22 Karat (22K) gold climbed to Rs 15,030, gaining Rs 80, on Monday, August 24, 2026. Since the rally began on August 20, 24K gold has surged by around Rs 90,000, keeping the precious metal firmly in focus.
Meanwhile, silver remained steady for the fourth consecutive day. In the global market, gold prices moved higher after the US Treasury unexpectedly announced increased buybacks of long-term government bonds, while silver prices remained under pressure.

The price of 24K gold climbed by Rs 88 per gram to Rs 16,397. For 8 grams, the rate stood at Rs 1,31,176, marking a rise of Rs 704. The price of 10 grams increased by Rs 880 to Rs 1,63,970, while 100 grams of 24K gold was priced at Rs 16,39,700, up Rs 8,800.
22K Gold Rate Today in India
22K gold also continued its upward move, gaining Rs 80 per gram to Rs 15,030. The price of 8 grams rose by Rs 640 to Rs 1,20,240, while 10 grams increased by Rs 800 to Rs 1,50,300. For 100 grams, the rate reached Rs 15,03,000, reflecting a daily gain of Rs 8,000.

18K Gold Rate Today in India
The price of 18K gold advanced by Rs 61 per gram to Rs 12,293. The rate for 8 grams stood at Rs 98,344, up Rs 488, while 10 grams rose by Rs 610 to Rs 1,22,930. For 100 grams, the price climbed to Rs 12,29,300, marking an increase of Rs 6,100.
Silver Rate Today: Check Latest Silver Prices Per Kg and Gram on August 24, 2026
Silver prices in India remained unchanged today, with the rate holding steady at Rs 260 per gram, the same as the previous session. For larger quantities, 8 grams of silver cost Rs 2,080, while 10 grams was priced at Rs 2,600. The rate for 100 grams stood at Rs 26,000, while 1 kg of silver continued to be priced at Rs 2,60,000. There was no change across any quantity compared with yesterday's rates.
"Gold and silver jumped over 3% to a two-and-a-half-month high after the US Treasury's surprise liquidity support announcement pulled down bond yields and the dollar ahead of the Fed's July minutes," said Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd.
