After ending the previous week on a weaker note, gold prices in India opened higher on Monday, May 25, 2026, supported by improving global sentiment after fresh signs of progress in US-Iran peace negotiations linked to the Strait of Hormuz. The price of 24 Karat (24K) gold rose by Rs 32 to Rs 15,938 per gram, while 22 Karat (22K) gold gained Rs 30 to reach Rs 14,610 per gram in early trade.

Gold, Silver Prices Today on Hopes of US-Iran Peace Deal

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive day. Silver continued to trade at Rs 285 per gram and Rs 2,85,000 per kilogram in the domestic market, reflecting a relatively stable trend in the white metal despite volatility in global commodities.

Market sentiment improved after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there could be "some good news" regarding the Strait of Hormuz in the coming hours, as Tehran and Washington continued discussions aimed at securing a broader peace agreement. Hopes of reopening the key Gulf shipping route have helped reduce immediate concerns around oil-driven inflation pressures, influencing bullion prices globally.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The price of 24K gold increased by Rs 32 to Rs 15,938 per gram, compared to Rs 15,906 in the previous session. The rate for 8 grams of 24K gold rose by Rs 256 to Rs 1,27,504, while 10 grams climbed by Rs 320 to Rs 1,59,380. For larger quantities, 100 grams of 24K gold were priced at Rs 15,93,800, up Rs 3,200 from Sunday's level of Rs 15,90,600.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

Similarly, 22K gold prices also witnessed an upward move in the domestic market. The price of 1 gram of 22K gold increased by Rs 30 to Rs 14,610 from Rs 14,580 a day earlier. The price of 8 grams stood at Rs 1,16,880 after rising by Rs 240, while 10 grams advanced by Rs 300 to Rs 1,46,100. Meanwhile, 100 grams of 22K gold climbed by Rs 3,000 to Rs 14,61,000 on May 25, 2026.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The rally is also visible in 18K gold prices on 25 May 2026. The rate of 1 gram of 18K gold rose by Rs 25 to Rs 11,954, compared to Rs 11,929 in the previous session. The price of 8 grams increased by Rs 200 to Rs 95,632, while 10 grams gained Rs 250 to reach Rs 1,19,540. On a bulk basis, 100 grams of 18K gold were priced at Rs 11,95,400, reflecting an increase of Rs 2,500 over the previous day.

Silver prices in India remained unchanged on Monday, continuing the stable trend seen over the last few trading sessions. The price of silver today stood at Rs 285 per gram, unchanged from the previous day.

For smaller quantities, 8 grams of silver were priced at Rs 2,280, while 10 grams continued to cost Rs 2,850, with no change compared to Sunday's rates.

In larger quantities as well, silver prices remained flat in the domestic market. The price of 100 grams of silver stayed at Rs 28,500, while 1 kilogram of silver continued to trade at Rs 2,85,000 on May 25, 2026.

"Gold price momentum (next week) looks sideways, while silver still looks positive as focus will again be on the peace negotiations between the US and Iran to end the war," said Pranav Mer, Vice President, EBG - Commodity & Currency Research, JM Financial Services Ltd.
