Gold prices in India posted their 5th consecutive gains this month as the festive shopping frenzy is taking up the limelight. Gold rates in India have surged by around 9% so far this month, recovering sharply after a slight decline seen last week.

Gold Prices in the international market surged above $4150 per ounce and climbed to two week high level after the US mid-term election results where democrats secured win which is now raising hopes for an end to an US Iran conflict hence the fall in oil prices. Gold rates in India are expected to rise further in the coming days as the festival season reaches its peak during Diwali & Dussehra.

As of 5th November,, the 24-carat gold rates in India spiked by Rs.3220 per 10 grams to cost Rs.1,33,850. While the 22-carat gold price in India rallied by Rs.2950 per 10 grams, to cost Rs.1,46,020. In the 18-carat gold rates jumped by Rs.2420 to retail at Rs. 1,09,520 per 10 grams.

And just like that, 100 grams of 24-carat gold rate stands at Rs 14,60,200, and the 22-carat gold rate is currently at Rs.13,38,500 per 100 grams of yellow metal.

Silver rates in India today also recorded a huge jump; 1 kg of silver in India costs Rs.2,10,000 after gaining Rs. 10,000. While 100 g of silver rates in India retail at Rs.21,000, which jumped by Rs.1000.
