"Gold dropped to a three-week low Wednesday as escalating U.S.-Iran tensions pushed oil prices higher, stoking inflation and rate-hike concerns ahead of key U.S. jobs data. Silver also fell sharply, trading near $63 amid rising Fed rate-hike expectations. U.S. airstrikes on Iran and Tehran's retaliation marked a major escalation, lifting oil for a third straight session and pushing Treasury yields higher," said Mr. Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd.
