The outlook for bullion this week will largely depend on the Federal Reserve's policy announcement and its signals on future interest rate moves. Rising energy prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have added to inflation concerns, potentially limiting the scope for rate cuts and weighing on non-yielding assets such as gold and silver.

US Fed Decision, Crude Oil Prices Key Triggers for Gold, Silver Rates
The Federal Reserve's policy decision is a key event for gold and silver investors this week. Markets widely expect the US central bank to keep interest rates unchanged at its upcoming meeting, while investors will look for clues about the possibility of a rate increase in December.
Higher interest rates generally weigh on gold and silver because these assets do not offer interest income. If inflation remains elevated and the Fed signals that rates may stay high for longer, precious metals could face renewed selling pressure. Conversely, a softer policy outlook could provide support to bullion.
Rising crude oil prices are another factor to watch. The escalation of tensions in the Middle East has increased concerns over energy supply disruptions and inflation. The US administration is weighing its next steps regarding Iran, while Tehran has reportedly indicated its readiness to retaliate amid growing regional tensions. Any further escalation could increase market uncertainty and trigger fluctuations in precious metals.
Central bank decisions in the Eurozone and Japan are also expected to influence global market sentiment this week.
What Should Gold and Silver Investors Watch? Check Gold-Silver Technical Outlook
Markets await the October 27-28 Fed meeting and next week's PCE data. "Gold has broken $4,000 (Rs 1,42,000) and may slip to $3,950 (Rs 1,40,000), while silver, below $54.5 (Rs 2,00,000), could test $50 (Rs 1,80,000-1,85,000). Both metals are building a strong base over the medium term, with a 10-15% rebound expected.
