Gold Rates Crash Rs 21,300 In 2-Days; 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices Today In Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, More Cities

Gold prices extended its fall for the second consecutive day in India. On Tuesday, 24-carat, 22-carat, and 18-carat gold prices plunged by 3,900 to Rs 2,900. Accordingly, in two days straight, the 100-gram and 10-gram gold prices crashed by at least Rs 21,300 and Rs 2,130 across major cities in 24-carat. Precious metals are cautious due to strengthening in the US dollar that touched 18 months high ahead of US CPI inflation data. However, the fall in gold prices also comes as good news for buyers who are looking to buy yellow metal on the third day of Navratri.

Gold Rates Today, October 13, 2026

24-carat gold prices plunged by Rs 3,900 in 100 grams, down by Rs 390 in 10 grams, slipped Rs 312 in 8 grams and is lower by Rs 39 in 1 gram.

Meanwhile, 22-carat gold price dipped by Rs 3,500 in 100 grams, lower by Rs 350 in 10 grams, while down by Rs 280 and Rs 35 in 8 grams and 1 gram.

Further, 18-carat gold prices dropped by Rs 2,900 in 100 grams, slipped Rs 290 in 10 grams, plunged Rs 232 in 8 grams and is down by Rs 29 in 1 gram.

Yesterday, 24-carat gold price plunged by Rs 17,400 in 100 grams, down Rs 1,740 in 10 grams and lower by Rs 174 in 1 gram. Cumulatively from October 12-13, 100 grams gold crashed Rs 21,300, while 10 grams and 1 gram gold are down by Rs 2,130 and Rs 213.

Meanwhile, MCX gold price is near Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams mark, while MCX silver price is near Rs 2.23 lakh per 1Kg mark. The performance tracks cautious trend in the global bullion market.

Spot gold struggled around $4,180 per ounce, while spot silver held below $61 per ounce. This is because of US dollar that touched 18-months high to 102.5 as investors await upcoming CPI inflation data.

"Gold and silver futures are entering Tuesday's session with a cautious bias, following overnight weakness in international bullion markets. The latest available domestic reference is from October 12, as the regular MCX daytime session has not opened yet," said Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com.

Further, he added, the dollar's strength and the inflation outlook remain important drivers. US inflation data due this week could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve's next policy move. Higher interest-rate expectations and elevated yields can weigh on gold and silver because neither asset generates interest income.

24-Carat Gold Prices Today

On October 13, 24-carat gold price stood at Rs 14,967 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,49,670 in 10 grams and at Rs 14,96,700 per 100 grams in Chennai and Chennai, which is highest among other cities.

On the other hand, 24-carat gold price stood at Rs 14,929 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,49,290 per 10 grams, and at Rs 14,92,900 per 100 grams in cities like Mumbai, Kerala, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore.

Meanwhile, gold is also high at Rs 14,944 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,49,440 per 10 grams and at Rs 14,94,400 per 100 grams in Delhi. In cities like Vadodara and Ahmedabad, gold price stood at Rs 14,934 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,49,340 per 10 grams and at Rs 14,93,400 per 100 grams.

22-Carat Gold Prices Today

In 22-carat, 1 gram gold stood at Rs 13,719 per 1 gram at Rs 1,37,190 per 10 grams and at Rs 13,71,900 per 100 grams in Chennai, which is highest. This is followed by 22-carat gold rates in Delhi at Rs 13,700 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,37,000 per 10 grams and at Rs 13,70,000 per 100 grams.

In Vadodara and Ahmedabad, this gold is sold at Rs 13,690 per 1 gram, at Rs 13,69,000 per 100 grams and at Rs 1,36,900 per 10 grams.

Whereas, 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 13,685 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,36,850 per 10 grams and at Rs 13,68,500 per 100 grams in cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Kerala, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

18-Carat Gold Prices Today

18-carat gold prices are most expensive in Chennai, followed by Delhi, Vadodara and Ahmedabad.

In Chennai, 18-carat gold are available at Rs 11,269 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,12,690 per 10 grams and at Rs 11,26,900 per 100 grams. While in Delhi, 1 gram gold is priced at Rs 11,212, 10 grams at Rs 1,12,120 and 100 grams gold at Rs 11,21,200.

Furthermore, in Vadodara and Ahmedabad, gold prices stood at Rs 11,202 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,12,020 per 10 grams and at Rs 11,20,200 per 100 grams.

Lastly, in cities like Mumbai, Kerala, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune, 18-carat is priced at Rs 11,197 per 1 gram, at Rs 1,11,970 per 10 grams, and at Rs 11,19,700 per 100 grams.

What Should Investors Do In Gold?

For Indian investors, Subburaj said, gold needs to reclaim Rs 1.51 lakh per 10 grams to improve its near-term outlook. Silver needs to move back above Rs 2.26 lakh per kg to signal stronger buying interest. Currency movements will also affect domestic prices, as India imports much of its bullion.

Also, the near-term outlook remains cautious rather than decisively bearish. Investors should watch the dollar, US yields and inflation data before interpreting any rebound as a sustained recovery.
