Gold Rates & Silver Rates Today (03/09/2026) LIVE: MCX Gold Jumps Rs 1,500, Silver Price Gains Rs 2,700

Gold rates and silver rates in India surged sharply on September 3, 2026, halting their three consecutive losing sessions. MCX gold is racing to hit the Rs 1.54 lakh mark, and MCX silver is near Rs 2.39 lakh per kg level. Both the precious metals are up 1%. The performance tracked a renewed uptrend in the global bullion market.

Spot gold is above $4,400 per ounce, while spot silver reclaimed over $66 per ounce mark. They are also up 1% each. On the other hand, Brent crude oil price dipped marginally to trade below $96 per barrel and US WTI crude oil is struggling below $91 per barrel. The natural gas prices soared over 2%, while gasoline price dipped marginally.

The latest surge in precious metals is due to pullback in US dollar and treasury yields despite oil prices continuing to be elevated.

New York Fed Bank President John Williams said there is evidence that inflation continues to ease as the impact of tariffs fades, while higher energy prices have yet to spill over into other services. Data on Wednesday also showed that US private employment growth slowed in August. Still, markets are pricing in around a two-thirds chance of a Fed rate hike later this month following Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish remarks on Friday. Elsewhere, oil prices halted their rally after President Donald Trump said the latest attacks on Iran would be short-lived while indicating that the US stands ready for further strikes, easing inflation concerns and providing additional support to bullion, as per Trading Economics.
