Gold Rates & Silver Rates Today, 10.07.2026 LIVE: MCX Gold Down Rs 1,050, Silver Price Crashes Rs 3,400

Gold rates and silver rates in India struggled on July 10, 2026, despite US and Iran agreeing to continue the peace talks even after the latest exchange of missile strikes. MCX gold fell by at least Rs 700 to trade around Rs 1,44,600 per 10 grams, while MCX silver dropped marginally and hovered around Rs 2.26 lakh per 1Kg.

On the global front, spot gold slipped marginally to trade near $4,118 per ounce. On the contrary, spot silver gained nearly 1% and traded above $60 per ounce mark.

Precious metals are on track to end the week on a volatile note, with investors focusing on the development at the Middle East.

Reports indicated that the US and Iran will continue peace talks despite a recent escalation in hostilities that disrupted energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz and renewed concerns over inflation. US forces carried out strikes on targets in Iran over two days in response to recent attacks on vessels in Hormuz, prompting retaliatory strikes by Tehran on US bases across the region. Markets continue to expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates at least once this year, although the policy outlook remains highly uncertain. Meanwhile, New York Fed President John Williams said that, among the factors driving inflation in the US, he is most focused on demand fueled by artificial intelligence, as per Trading Economics.

Meanwhile, crude oil prices continued to be elevated. US WTI Crude surged 0.5% to trade above $72 per barrel and Brent Crude is nearly 1% up to trade around $77 per barrel. However, US dollar pulled back mildly to trade near 100.75 mark.
