Gold Rates & Silver Rates Today (27/06/2026) LIVE: Indian Gold Rates Drop 8%, Silver Crashes 15% In 27 Days

Gold rates in India climbed for the second day in a row on June 27, 2026. 24 carat gold price soared by at least Rs 12,000 in 100 grams and up by Rs 1,200 in 10 grams. 10 grams gold is near Rs 1.44 lakh. On the other hand, silver rates in India are unchanged.

While MCX gold and silver price closed the trading week around Rs 1.44 lakh and Rs 2.22 lakh mark. However, spot gold and spot silver although recovered for two days straight, could not close the week on a positive note. Bullion in international market recorded 3% weekly decline, while silver clocked over 10% drop.

The latest relief in precious metals is due to a slight pullback in the dollar after the US PCE inflation report came in-line with market expectations, calming investors' fear of aggressive rate hikes by US Federal Reserve later this year.

However, despite this, Fed is still hawkish and dollar continues to find support, which will set the trend for bullion market. When dollar strengthens, non-yielding assets like gold loose shine. Hence, the trajectory for precious metals remains volatile.

As per Trading Economics, new Fed Chair Warsh reaffirmed the central bank's commitment to bringing inflation under control, easing concerns that he might yield to pressure from US President Trump to cut interest rates prematurely. The Fed also raised its 2026 PCE inflation projections. The headline PCE inflation rate accelerated to 4.1% in May. Markets are currently pricing in three Federal Reserve rate hikes this year, with the probability of the first increase coming in September standing at around 62%.
