Gold Rates & Silver Rates Today (29-05-2026) Live Updates: MCX Gold Marginally Down, Silver Price Falls By 1%
Gold rates and silver rates in India have continued to be under pressure and the trend continued even on May 29, 2026. MCX gold is trading marginally lower to near Rs 1,56,500 per 10 grams, while MCX silver slipped nearly 1% to hit around Rs 2.68 lakh mark. Spot gold price is struggling to hold around $4,500 per ounce after hitting a 2-month low yesterday. While spot silver continues to be volatile and trade a little over $75 per ounce. There is calm in selling pressure on Friday after reports of a preliminary agreement between the USA and Iran cooled off concerns over inflation and the energy crisis.
Crude oil prices are down by 1-2% with US WTI Crude Oil futures trading below $88 per barrel and Brent Crude slipping below $92 per barrel.

Washington and Tehran are reportedly set to extend their ceasefire by 60 days and begin talks over Iran's nuclear program, while also considering unrestricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Still, the report noted that President Donald Trump has not yet approved the proposed terms, while Vice President JD Vance said it remains too early to determine whether or when a deal with Iran could be finalized, as per Trading Economics.
