Gold & Silver Rates Today (5/11/2026) LIVE: COMEX Reclaims Above $4,100, MCX Gold Jumps Rs 2,300, Silver Up 2%
Gold rates and silver rates in India continued their strong rally on November 5, 2026, as buying sentiment in the global bullion market rises. MCX gold price surged nearly 2% to trade above Rs 1.45 lakh mark, while MCX silver also jumped 1.5% to trade above Rs 1.90 lakh per 1Kg mark. On Thursday, spot gold surged by nearly 2% to trade above $4,137 per ounce, while spot silver also climbed 2% to trade above $53 per ounce.
This came after a sharp decline in crude oil prices. US WTI dropped by 1.4% to trade below $87 per barrel, after crashing by over 10% yesterday. Brent crude is below $94 per barrel in the early trade with 1% decline. Natural gas, gasoline and heating oil prices also plunged by 1% each.

The gains can be attributed to the Democratic victory in the US midterm election, which has increased investors hope for a peace between US and Iran as Trump's administration could face political pressure to end the war.
In India, gold and silver prices will trend due to Dhanteras and Diwali festivals, where usually demand is high. Meanwhile, global factors will continue to impact the prices.
The precious metal also found support from a weaker US dollar and declining Treasury yields, which enhanced its appeal to investors. President Donald Trump conceded that Republicans lost because of the war and acknowledged gasoline prices as a factor behind the defeat, while indicating that there were no immediate plans to ramp up attacks on Iran. Lower oil prices could ease inflationary pressures, reducing concerns over potential near-term interest rate increases. Investors are now turning their attention to Friday's key US employment report, which could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve's monetary policy. Traders currently see a 79% probability of a Fed rate hike in December, according to the CME FedWatch Tool, as per Trading Economics.
