Gold Rates Today (11-08-2026) Jumps: 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices At IBJA, Tanishq, Joyalukkas, Malabar, More

Gold rates in India made a strong jump on August 11, 2026, as buying sentiments improved across global bullion market despite inflationary pressures and rate hike risks owing to elevated crude oil prices. 24 carat gold rate in India soared by a whopping Rs 32,000 for 100 grams and was up nearly Rs 3,200 in 10 grams. Similarly, 22 carat and 18 carat gold prices climbed significantly. At top jewelers of India, 1 gram gold jumped nearly Rs 14,300 in 22 carat, gained to near Rs 15,600 in 24 carat and surged nearly Rs 11,700 in 18 carat. The trajectory for gold is volatile but broadly firm and in favour of bulls.

Explaining why gold prices are rising, Pinky Yadav, Commodity Fundamental Analyst at Choice Broking, said that gold rates surged as investment demand strengthened despite inflationary risks and expectations of higher interest rates amid elevated oil prices.

The analyst pointed out that Chiinese institutional investors increased bullion holdings as a hedge against market volatility, while gold-backed ETFs recorded their longest inflow streak in months. China's central bank also accelerated purchases, adding around 20 tonnes to reserves in July after 15 tonnes in June, the largest monthly increase since October 2023. Meanwhile, the dollar steadied near 99.7. Markets now await US CPI and producer inflation data for fresh clues on the Federal Reserve's rate outlook.

These factors have played a huge role in driving gold upside including in India and overseas market.
