Gold rates in India continue to rise on August 24, 2026, with 24 carat gold price nearing Rs 1.64 lakh per 10 grams mark. In the month of August overall, 24-carat, 22 carat and 18 carat gold prices are up nearly 14%. The latest surge is attributed to a pullback in bond yields and the dollar index after the US Treasury Department announced doubling the size of longer-dated debt buybacks, which improved the demand for safe haven assets like gold. Accordingly, on Monday, at top jewelers in India, 22 carat gold has breached above Rs 15,000 mark in 1 gram, while 18 carat gold is above Rs 12,300 per 1 gram and 24-carat gold is already above Rs 16,400 levels in 1 gram.

"Gold continues to draw support from renewed concerns over U.S. fiscal sustainability after federal debt surpassed $40 trillion. The Treasury's move to expand purchases of longer-dated government debt initially pushed yields lower and weakened the dollar, reinforcing demand for gold as a store of value amid growing concerns over the U.S. fiscal outlook," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.

22-carat gold prices are up by Rs 80 in 1 gram at Tanishq, while 8 grams and 10 grams gold rates surged by Rs 640 and Rs 800 on Monday. The price of 100 grams gold is higher by a whopping Rs 8,000. In percentage terms, gold prices are up by over 0.5% across grams.

Accordingly, 22-carat gold price stood at Rs 15,075 per 1 gram, at Rs 120,600 per 8 grams, at Rs 150,750 per 10 grams and at Rs 1,507,500 per 100 grams. Further, 24 carat gold prices are at Rs 16,445 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,64,450 per 10 grams.

In case of 18 carat, gold price stood at Rs 12,334 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,23,340 per 10 grams.

IBJA Gold Rates Today

Gold rates across purity at IBJA also witnessed strong surge. On August 24, the 999 purity gold price stood at Rs 16,260 per 1 gram, the 995 purity gold is at Rs 16,195 per 1 gram and the 916 purity gold is at Rs 14,894 per 1 gram, While the 750 purity and 585 purity gold prices stood at Rs 12,195 per 1 gram and at Rs 9,512 respectively.

Malabar Gold Rates Today

Here, 22 carat gold price stood at Rs 15,030 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,50,300 per 10 grams. In case of 24 carat, 10 grams and 1 gram gold rates stood at Rs 16,396 and Rs 1,63,960.

Kalyan Jewellers Gold Rates Today

Just like Malabar, at Kalyan Jewellers stores, the 22 carat gold price stood at Rs 15,030 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,50,300 per 10 grams.

Joyalukkas Gold Rates Today

At retail stores of Joyalukkas, 22 carat gold is priced at Rs 15,030 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,50,300 per 10 grams. These rates are applicable in states like Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
