Precious metals have witnessed massive selling pressure due to elevated energy prices, rising crude oil prices and rate hike probability. Next week, gold prices in India will be impacted by the upcoming US Federal Reserve's policy and festive demand.

"Gold and silver recorded substantial weekly declines, as rising crude oil prices intensified inflation concerns and strengthened expectations of higher-for-longer interest rates," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.

On October 23rd, the upside was marginal and due to upcoming Diwali festive cheer.

Looking ahead, Ponmudi said, commodity markets are likely to remain volatile as investors assess the Federal Reserve's October policy decision, upcoming US PCE inflation data, movements in Treasury yields and the dollar, and developments in the Middle East. Gold and silver could remain under pressure if elevated energy prices reinforce inflation concerns and expectations of tighter monetary policy. However, physical demand and any moderation in bond yields could offer support following the recent correction.
