Gold Rates Today (25/08/2026) Fall First Time In 5-Days: 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices At IBJA, Tanishq, Malabar

Gold rates in India dropped for the first time in five days on August 25, 2026, due to profit-booking. 10 grams gold price has pulled back from its Rs 1.63 lakh mark in 24-carat, while the price stays above Rs 1.50 lakh mark in 22-carat. Despite the latest fall, gold has given double-digit growth in August so far. Gold market is broadly cautious on Tuesday due to additional US sanctions on Iran, along with the threat of penalties on countries that has trade deal with the Islamic regime. This keeps the market uncertain about the US-Iran conflict, as inflationary pressures persist which further heightens the rate hike scenario ahead.

"Markets remain uncertain whether the measures will accelerate or delay a resolution to the US-Iran conflict and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, elevated Middle East risks, including tanker attacks near Oman and the Red Sea, continued to support oil prices," said Pinky Yadav, Commodity Fundamental Analyst at Choice Broking.

Rising oil prices means further tensions in energy crisis as the reopening of Strait of Hormuz continues to be uncertain.

Furthermore, Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money said, gold has seen a mild pullback after an extraordinary run fuelled by mounting concerns over U.S. fiscal sustainability and Treasury debt-buyback dynamics. Investor attention now turns to a busy U.S. data calendar, including ADP employment and consumer-confidence data today, followed by core PCE inflation and revised estimate of second-quarter GDP tomorrow. Silver is also trading weaker today but remains up more than 17% over the past month, broadly tracking gold's rally while drawing additional support from resilient industrial demand linked to solar and electronics manufacturing.

22-carat gold prices dropped by Rs 20 in 1 gram, down by Rs 160 in 8 grams, lower by Rs 200 in 10 grams and tumbled by Rs 2,000 in 100 grams. Accordingly, on August 25, 22-carat gold price stood at Rs 15,055 per 1 gram, at Rs 120,440 per 8 grams, at Rs 150,550 per 10 grams and at Rs 1,505,500 per 100 grams.

Furthermore, 24-carat gold price stood at Rs 16,445 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,64,450 per 10 grams. While 18 carat gold price is at Rs 12,318 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,23,180 per 10 grams.
