Gold Rates Today Crashes, 9-9-2026: 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices At Tanishq, IBJA, Joyalukkas, Kalyan, Malabar
Gold rates in India declined sharply on September 9 due to rising crude oil prices and a pressured global bullion market. The 24-carat gold price plunged by at least Rs 10,400, while the 22-carat and 18-carat gold rates sank up to Rs 9,500 and Rs 7,800, respectively. Brent is nearing $100 per barrel and causing pressure on inflation ahead, which increases the odds of a rate hike this month from the US Federal Reserve. Gold found support from the new tensions between the US and Iran, while the US dollar remained steady. The gold prices in India dropped, while spot gold and MCX gold traded volatile to hold around $4,370 per ounce and Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams mark.
At top jewelers like Tanishq, Malabar Gold, Kalyan Jewellers, Joyalukkas, and IBJA, they will see significant change in their gold and silver prices, tracking benchmark purity rates, MCX gold futures, and the global market. The upcoming US and India's CPI inflation is pivotal for further clarity on monetary policy and interest rates.

For Indian traders, Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com, said, the key point is that this remains a headline-driven market. Gold is consolidating around the Rs 1.53 lakh zone, while silver is trying to sustain levels above Rs 2.39 lakh per kg.
He added that the next major trigger is US inflation data. Until there is more clarity on the Fed's policy path, traders should avoid chasing sharp moves. Extra caution is warranted with silver. Price swings in silver remain significantly larger.
