Gold rates in India continue their losing streak for the third consecutive day on April 24. The 10 grams and 100 grams gold prices in 24 carat plunged by Rs 600 and Rs 6,000 on Friday alone. Meanwhile, silver rates fell marginally. Broadly, precious metals are volatile due to weakness in the Indian market, West Asia developments and heightened tensions at Strait of Hormuz. Gold fell as much as below Rs 1.51 lakh mark at MCX before recovering losses, while spot gold is struggling to hold $4,700 per ounce mark.

Tanishq Gold Rates Today

22 carat gold rate today is at Rs 14,060 per 1 gram, while 8 grams gold stood at Rs 112,480, 10 grams gold is at Rs 140,600, and 100 grams gold is at Rs 1,406,000.

In 24 carat, 10 grams gold is priced at Rs 1,53,338 and 1 gram gold stood at Rs 15,338. Further, 18 carat gold price is at Rs 11,504 per 1 gram and at Rs 1,15,040 per 10 grams.

What Is Impacting Gold & Silver Rates Today?

As per Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities, gold remained highly volatile, trading in a wide range of $4655-$4710, as rising crude prices continued to pressure broader asset classes.

In the domestic market, the expert said, gold recovered from early weakness near Rs 150700 to around ₹151900, supported by intraday buying. Price action is being driven largely by West Asia developments, particularly tensions involving Iran, Israel, and US presence in the Strait of Hormuz, which keep uncertainty elevated. With conflicting signals and no clear resolution, gold is expected to stay news-driven and volatile.
