Gold Rates Today Recovers From 2-Days Rs 25,100 Crash; 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Rates At Tanishq, IBJA, Kalyan, More

Gold rates in India today halt two consecutive days of selling pressure on September 23, 2026, with 24-carat rising by 8,700 per 100 grams and up by Rs 870 per 10 grams. Gold prices have crashed significantly by up to Rs 25,100 in 100 grams and Rs 2,510 in 10 grams under 24-carat in the prior two days. The latest gold prices are up despite global bullion market under pressure. Spot gold and spot silver are down by 1% each to trade around $4335 per ounce and $66 per ounce. Meanwhile, MCX gold price struggled around Rs 1,52,500 per 10 grams. Physical gold rates gain due to upcoming festive season next month.

"Indian bullion investors enter Wednesday with gold consolidating while silver retains stronger momentum. On MCX, October gold settled at Rs 1,52,716 per 10 grams on Tuesday, down 0.25%. December silver closed 0.24% higher at Rs 2,39,888 per kg," said Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com.

The weekly picture is more revealing. The analyst explained that gold has gained 1.26% since September 15. Silver has advanced 3.35%. Silver's outperformance reflects stronger momentum, but investors should recognise the additional risk. Tuesday's silver contract moved across a range of almost Rs 4,840 per kg. That is a reminder that sharp rallies can also produce difficult drawdowns.

Accordingly, the expert said, gold is facing pressure from elevated interest rates. The US Federal Reserve raised its policy rate to 3.75-4% last week. Its projections leave room for another increase this year. Higher yields can limit demand for non-interest-bearing bullion. Geopolitical uncertainty continues to provide underlying support.

Gold Rates Today In India

24-carat gold price gained by Rs 8,700 in 100 grams to Rs 15,42,000 and up by Rs 870 to Rs 1,54,200 per 10 grams. Also, the 22-carat gold price climbed by Rs 8,000 to Rs 14,13,500 per 100 grams and surged by Rs 800 to Rs 1,41,300 per 10 grams. Further, 18-carat gold rates jumped by Rs 6,500 to Rs 11,56,500 per 100 grams and zoomed by Rs 650 to Rs 1,15,650 per 10 grams.

100 grams gold price had dropped by Rs 12,500 in 24-carat on September 22nd and plunged by Rs 12,600 on September 21st. So September 23rd's performance is first bullish tone this week.

Accordingly, gold prices across top jewelers in India have seen significant shift on September 23.

What should investors do? As per Subburaj, investors should avoid chasing silver after rapid gains. Position sizes should remain modest because futures are leveraged. Long-term gold buyers can stagger purchases instead of committing capital at one price.
