Gold Silver Rates Today, August 6: 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices In Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, More Cities

Gold rates in India are seeing an uptrend on Thursday due to positive global cues. In the early hours of August 6th, at GoodReturns tracker, all 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat are trading higher by Rs 100 to Re 1 across grams. The rates are expected to go higher as the day progresses. In the global market, spot gold surged to seven-week high to reclaim above $4,300 mark and spot silver gained above $62 pivotal levels, signaling fresh buying momentum. Meanwhile, MCX gold surged near RS 1.49 lakh per 10 grams and MCX silver price outperformed 3% to trade above Rs 2,75,500 overnight.

"The rally was supported by renewed optimism surrounding US-Iran negotiations, although market participants remain cautious as the final outcome will depend on official confirmation and statements from Iran. Until a formal agreement is reached, geopolitical uncertainty is likely to keep a risk premium embedded in bullion prices," said Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities.

Going forward, the analysts believe that the market's focus shifts to the US ADP Employment Change data, followed by the Non-Farm Payrolls and Unemployment Rate, which will be key indicators for the Federal Reserve's interest rate outlook. These releases are expected to drive the next major move in gold.
