Gold prices in India remained unchanged on Sunday, May 17, 2026, after witnessing a sharp correction over the previous two sessions. The price of 24K gold stood steady at Rs 15,693 per gram, while 22K gold was unchanged at Rs 14,385 per gram.

The yellow metal has fallen by nearly Rs 54,000 per 100 grams of 24K gold over the last two days, reflecting a broad-based pullback in safe-haven assets as investors reassessed geopolitical and macroeconomic risks.

Silver prices also held firm after a steep decline in recent sessions. In Delhi, silver was quoted at Rs 280 per gram and Rs 2,80,000 per kilogram, unchanged from the previous day after dropping by about Rs 10,000 per kilogram over the past two days.

The recent selling pressure in precious metals came amid a hawkish global macro environment and shifting investor sentiment. Although prolonged tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran have kept concerns over energy markets elevated, traders appeared to book profits after the sharp rally in bullion prices, leading to a temporary pause in the upward momentum.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The price of 24K gold in India remained unchanged on Sunday. The rate stood at Rs 15,693 per gram, with no change from the previous day. Accordingly, 8 grams of 24K gold were priced at Rs 1,25,544, while 10 grams cost Rs 1,56,930. The price of 100 grams of 24K gold was steady at Rs 15,69,300.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

Similarly, 22K gold prices were flat compared with the previous session. The rate of 22K gold was Rs 14,385 per gram, unchanged day-on-day. The price of 8 grams stood at Rs 1,15,080, while 10 grams were quoted at Rs 1,43,850. For larger quantities, 100 grams of 22K gold were priced at Rs 14,38,500.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India

The rate of 18K gold also remained stable on 17 May 2026. One gram of 18K gold was priced at Rs 11,770, the same as the previous day. Eight grams were valued at Rs 94,160, while 10 grams cost Rs 1,17,700. The price of 100 grams of 18K gold was unchanged at Rs 11,77,000.

Silver prices in Delhi also remained unchanged on Sunday. The white metal was quoted at Rs 280 per gram, with no change from the previous session. Based on this rate, 8 grams of silver were priced at Rs 2,240, while 10 grams were valued at Rs 2,800.

For bulk quantities, 100 grams of silver were priced at Rs 28,000, unchanged from the previous day. Meanwhile, the rate of 1 kilogram (1,000 grams) of silver stood steady at Rs 2,80,000, indicating no movement in prices compared with yesterday.

"Gold prices edged lower as rising oil prices, a stronger dollar and US Yields, weighed on sentiment following reports of a vessel seizure and another ship sinking. Expectations for U.S. interest rate cuts have largely diminished, according to CME Group's FedWatch tool, after sharp energy-driven increases in April producer and consumer inflation. Benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yields climbed close to one-year highs, raising the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets such as gold," said Manav Modi Commodities Analyst, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.
