Good News! Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Will Transfer Rs.2,500 To Delhi Women’s Accounts; Check Disbursement Dates

The new Chief Minister-designate Rekha Gupta has made a major announcement that the first installment of the Rs. 2,500 monthly aid under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana will be disbursed by March 8, as a gift for women on the International Women's Day. This initiative is a part of the major promise made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the recent Delhi assembly elections.

Other Welfare Announcements by the Delhi Government

The BJP's manifesto promised plenty of freebies to be disbursed if the government was elected . These measures support women and poor families. Below are some of the welfare announcement by Delhi BJP Government:

Rekha Gupta

Financial Support for Women and Families

  • Rs.21,000 assistance for every pregnant woman under the Matru Suraksha Vandana Scheme.
  • Rs.500 subsidy per LPG cylinder, along with one free cylinder provided during Holi and Diwali festivals.

Pension Scheme for Senior Citizens

  • Rs.2,500 monthly pension for senior citizens aged 60 to 70 years.
  • Rs.3,000 monthly pension for those aged above 70 years.

Educational Support for Students

  • Rs.15,000 financial aid for up to two attempts for students preparing for competitive exams like UPSC Civil Services and State PCS under the Bhimrao Ambedkar Stipend Scheme.
  • Rs.1,000 monthly stipend for SC community students pursuing technical courses in ITIs and polytechnic skill centers.

The Former government of Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had also proposed a monthly income support of Rs. 2,100 for women if re-elected. In response to AAP's announcement, the BJP increased its proposed assistance to Rs. 2,500 per month, aiming to provide more substantial support to Delhi's women.

Rekha Gupta Sworn in as Delhi's Fourth Woman CM

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA-elect Rekha Gupta was sworn in as the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi on Thursday. The grand swearing-in ceremony took place at Ramlila Ground. Rekha Gupta is a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh. Alongside CM Rekha Gupta, several senior BJP leaders were sworn in as cabinet ministers. Parvesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Raviraj Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh took the oath and will play key roles in the new government.

During her speech, CM Rekha Gupta reassured the people of Delhi that the BJP government will surely fulfill its pre-election promises. Addressing public concerns, the BJP also confirmed that all existing welfare schemes introduced by previous governments, including free electricity and free bus rides, will continue.
