Good News For Air India Flyers! Maharaja Lounge To Be Launched At Indira Gandhi Airport’s T3

Air India Maharaja Lounge: The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) is all set to get a new Air India Maharaja Lounge next year. The Maharaja lounge will be unveiled in December at Delhi International Airport, said Air India CEO Campbell Wilson.

2026 will see a new domestic lounge coming up at Delhi's T3 terminal. Additionally, a new lounge will come up at San Francisco the lounge at New York JFK will be upgraded.

The year 2026 will be of immense importance for Air India, including customer experience, induction of new wide-body aircraft, and fleet expansion, Campbell Wilson told ANI in an interview on Monday.

Next year, the Air India will receive six widebody aircraft, mix of Boeing B787-9 and Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, etc. Air India will also receive the first of the line-fit, B787-9 aircraft by the end of this year.

Air India's new Maharaja Lounge is a part of the company's effort to enhance passenger comfort and travel experience. The airport lounge is set to open in December this year.
Campbell Wilson, the airline's CEO, confirmed the reopening of this premium facility, highlighting Air India's ongoing efforts to enhance passenger experiences. Additionally, a domestic lounge at Terminal 3 is slated for launch in the latter half of 2026.

As per media reports, the New Maharaja Lounge will also offer high-end facilities to cater first and business class passengers, as well as eligible Maharaja Club members.

-Air India anticipates a significant boost in customer experience by 2026, marked by the induction of new wide-body aircraft.

-Six wide-body planes, including Boeing B787-9s and Airbus A350-1000s, will join the fleet next year, complemented by retrofitted B787-8 aircraft. The first B787-9 is expected by the end of 2025.

-The new lounge will be similar to Air India Maharaja lounge at Bengaluru airport. It offers plush seating, free food and drinks, quiet workspaces, fast Wi-F, power outlets, shower facilities, flight assistance, and attentive staff.
